Background:

Mechlift have been producing bin lifting machines well known for their economy, performance, durability and back-up support since 1991.

As the largest manufacturer of bin lifters in Africa, we offer a wide range of models adapted for your needs. These include vehicle mounted bin lifting machines for the popular 240 litre plastic “wheelie” and galvanized 1100 litre Spriko bins. Since you are probably spending 10 times more on the bins than on the lifter, our lifters are designed to protect your larger investment - our lifters are particularly gentle on the bins, and the Mechlift lifters are approved by the bin manufacturers.

You will find that spares and comprehensive back up service are always readily available for our locally designed and manufactured lifters. The biggest enemy of a lifter is a collision with the ground at a landfill or a pavement - the Mechlift lifters have a much greater ground clearance and most collisions are avoided. If the lifter is damaged, modules can be quickly replaced, even in the field in most cases. Keeping the truck out of the workshop is one of our highest design priorities.

All of our lifters use a reliable rotary actuator for the whole lift and tip cycle, which results in a smooth action with low hydraulic power requirements. All Mechlift lifters are safe, sturdy, and built to last.

ML 150

The ML 150 bin lifter is a "low-level" lifter, which makes it capable of handling both hand-loaded plastic bags and European style 240 litre bins.

This model has a high ground clearance to decrease the risk of accidental damage. The ML 150 is also very easy to remove and transfer, a process which requires less than two minutes and no tools.

ML 220

The ML 220 bin lifter is a high-level lifter that achieves the highest productivity with the least stress, noise, mass and maintenance.

"High-level" lifters achieve such good performance by positioning the tipped bin above the compactor blade, allowing simultaneous bin-emptying and compaction.

The ML 220 can empty over 1200 two wheeled plastic bins per 8-hour shift.

ML 220R

The ML 220R bin lifter is a high level "demountable" lifter, which means it is interchangeable and can easily removed. This makes servicing skips or collecting bulkier waste a pleasure.

The lifter kinematics used in the ML 220 R are the same as the tried and tested ML220 (which has proven to be the most popular high level lifter in Southern Africa)

ML 325

The ML 325 bin lifter is a single comb, high-level lifter, which has been designed to handle the larger four wheeled bins whilst still being able to lift the 240 litre "wheelie bins".

With the ML 325 you will easily be able to empty a wide range of DIN/MGB bin sizes and shapes, from 120 litres to 1100 litre.

ML 325R

The ML 325R bin lifter is a single comb, high-level lifter, which has been designed to handle the larger four wheeled bins whilst still being able to lift the 240 litre "wheelie bins". This is the demountable version of the ML325 above

With the ML 325R you will easily be able to empty a wide range of DIN/MGB bin sizes and shapes, from 120 litres to 1100 litre. And in addition, load skips and bags

ML 410

The ML 410 bin lifter is a low-level lifter for lifting pairs of 240 liter bins. It has the lowest price and has been kept very simple, yet is very rugged. The simplest solution for users starting to introduce 240 liter bins into their bag collection routes.

ML 450

The ML 450 bin lifter is a low-level lifter. It has been designed to have high ground clearance, but also a low sill (for hand loaded refuse).

It is capable of handling a wide range of bin sizes and shapes, from 80 to 1100 liter, with the maximum bin mass being 400kg.

ML 805

The ML 805 bin lifter is a low-level and high-level lifter in one. It has been designed to have high ground clearance, a low sill (for hand loaded refuse), and a high tipping level.

It is capable of handling a wide range of bin sizes and shapes, from 80 to 360 litres on split combs, or from 500 to 1100 litres on combined combs.
